Exterior

Its exterior is in great condition with no major dents or scratches. The cloudy patchiness on the upper panels is its clear coating over the aluminium discolouring / peeling from age. This happens on all vintage Airstreams and can be removed by using paint stripper. It could then also be polished to a mirror shine.

Interior

Its original interior is in great condition. Its got a large living room space at one end. A wrap around couch/bed and diving table could be put here. Its got a mid way kitchen, wardrobes and bathroom with toilet, basin and shower. Its bedroom is at the rear with twin beds. These could be converted to a queen easily. It could be further updated easily with paint and furnishings.

Condition disclaimer:

All vintage Airstreams have wear and imperfections, and may require partial or full restoration. Aluminia discloses all known flaws. However, full condition may only be discoverable at the stage when an Airstream is deconstructed for restoration. Buyers should expect that all vintage Airstreams have scratches and dents on their exteriors. Plywood floors have some rot and often needs partial or full replacement. Steel chassis’s sometimes require repair due to rust. Airstreams may leak and require thorough re-sealing. Axles and brakes may need to be replaced. Wiring will generally need to be replaced due to age and it being American 110V. Buyers are responsible for conducting a thorough inspection before buying. Aluminia wants you to be well informed and will assist you in assessing the Airstream you are considering, but Aluminia cannot take responsibility for knowing or advising you of an Airsream’s full condition.
